CST300: Module 4

 Week 4 CollabU(OLI) I learned how to work with each individual in my team better . Due to lessons from CollabU and working with my team, I was able to better understand each team member's preferences, and working styles. Week 4 Learning Journal Part One: Set Your Educational Goals I would like to learn tools applicable to cloud architecture. There are several courses offered in the curriculum such as networks, AI, and databases. As I take these courses, I hope to find a connection/application to the cloud.  Part Two: Set Your Career Goals  I want to work on evolving, engaging and challenging issues in computer science. CST300 Module 3

  Team Work I've learned important information about teamwork styles. I learned that I have an avoidant and not forceful teamwork style. I gained insight about other team work styles that I could incorporate more and these are collaboration, accommodating, and compromising. Time Management and Study Strategy I picked up study tools that I can implement to be better at SQ3R. For Survey, I'll read all introductory and summary paragraphs. For Read, I'll summarize main concepts in my own words in the margin. For Recite, i'll close the book/learning material every few pages and recite the main points. What a Computer Science Major Needs to Know Portfolio's are really important for computer science majors. They are the best ways for employers to gauge the skillsets of an applicant.  I found it insightful to know how valuable the unix philosophy is. CST 300 Module 2

 Module 2 Lecture Summary The video titled, The Future is Faster than you think, gave insights on the driving forces for accelerating technological advancements. These include hardware improvements increasing what machines can do, more startups due to more ideas, and a lot of capital from venture capital funding.  The article, Trends in Computing and Software Development,  revealed that AI will be a tool to make Software Development more efficient. Recommending methods and syntax based one's current assignment is an example of similar things it will do. It won't be able to build a complex system.  The video titled, Introduction to Project Management, shared different aspects. involved in project management. CST300: Create Your Learning Journal and Publish Your First Post

Topic: Include a brief description of what you have learned in every week, including readings, assignments, discussions, reflections, etc  This week I learned about the CSUMBOnline program. I learned where CSUMB grew out of a military base called Fort Nord. I also learned about the School of Computing and Design.  I learned important tips to becoming a successful online student. This includes being setting aside time in my calendar, visiting canvas at least 3 times a week, and being involved in the learning community.  I learned the important facets of good team work. This includes being on time, preparation, having an agenda, collaboration, and more. I also brushed up on APA format and it's various requirements.
